The Little Gym is a gymnastics and dance-based child development program for children ages 4 months to 12 years. It promotes child growth in a fun and welcoming environment while stimulating the development of motor, social, and cognitive skills, both individually and in groups.

The programs are organized according to age group:

• From 4 months to 3 years, there is a Parent/Child Program. Parents actively participate in the class, fostering a relationship between the child and their parents, while also encouraging the development of rhythm, coordination, language, and number concepts.
• From ages 3 to 6, there is the Preschool Program. This progressive development program allows children to explore new challenges without their parents’ presence. Basic gymnastics concepts and non-competitive games are introduced to develop perceptual, social, and cognitive skills.
• The School Age program is available for ages 6-12. At this age, more complex gymnastics exercises are introduced, aiming to strengthen each child’s self-esteem so that they strive for their best without feeling obligated to be the best.

In addition to the gymnastics program, The Little Gym organizes Birthday Parties for children from 1 year old as well as a Sports Holiday Program in the Summer, Christmas and Easter.

Yes! We will reserve a spot at your chosen time for the trial class. A trial class is the best way to get to know The Little Gym’s program, staff, and facilities. You have the possibility to take a class without having registered beforehand.

Following the first class, you will decide whether you want to continue attending our program on a regular basis. The first trial class costs R$15 and must be paid when booking. By registering on the same day you will receive a discount of €15 on the first year of registration and insurance, reducing it from €50 to €35.

The registration form will be filled out later with attendance details, which you can check in the FAQs. In the first month we will make a proportional monthly payment, based on the day of enrollment.

If you can’t attend the trial class, you can reschedule at no additional cost. You just need to let us know before the class starts, preferably by phone.  

If you’re present and your child doesn’t attend the class, we’ll give you the option to reschedule a new class at no additional cost. These situations occur more frequently in children aged 3 to 4.  

A child can start classes at The Little Gym any week of the year. Our programs are designed to challenge each child in a personalized way throughout the year. We always adjust the tuition fee if you want to start in the middle of a given month.

Membership in “The Little Gym” is planned on an ongoing basis as we believe this is the best way to develop each child’s abilities, year after year.  You can cancel your membership at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month following the month in which you notified “Pequenos Diabretes Lda” in writing to info@thelittlegym.pt. If you opted for the one-time payment option and cancel your membership, the amount for the paid but unattended period will not be refunded or credited. After cancellation or suspension, your spot will no longer be reserved for the main time slot. Please speak with the team to confirm available times upon your return.

Yes! Every week we have a different theme, and each child is enrolled in a time slot for their age group. The Little Gym program is designed to be attended once a week. If you can’t make it on the scheduled day, you can reschedule the class for another convenient day. These are make-up classes. It’s also possible to schedule a practice class to repeat the week’s theme. Since we are required to maintain attendance records for each class, we simply ask that families communicate with our team to confirm which children will participate and their availability at each time slot. If you can’t make it to a class, please let us know so we can free up a spot for each child. We don’t guarantee spots for make-up or practice classes, as these depend on parents notifying us that they will be absent and on available spaces.

The Little Gym Portugal offers two payment options for the 44 weeks of classes between September and July each year. In August of each year, regular classes are suspended, and there is no payment, with attendance continuing the following month. You can choose to pay annually or monthly, for €68. Monthly payments are made exclusively by direct debit. These amounts are adjusted depending on the start date. The annual subscription fee is €50 per family. Registering on the day of the first class will provide a €15 discount. Member insurance is also included, and it renews annually, 12 months after the registration date.

The practice class can be scheduled the day before and is always subject to confirmation by The Little Gym team in order to maintain the proportions of each class.
